Anthriscus cerefolium Hoff.
originated in the Caucasus, between the Black and Caspian Seas but is now widely grown. It is a member of the Parsley family and is typically used together with Parsley, Chives and Tarragon in French Fines Herbes blends. Its delicate parsley / anise flavour makes it well suited to milder dishes such as omelettes, soups and sauces, and to poultry and seafood, where it won’t be over-powered.
